Haggerty Earns AAC Honorable Mention Nod

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Redshirt sophomore guard PJ Haggerty continued his scoring dominance for the Tigers this week, earning him and American Athletic Conference Honorable Mention nod for weekly awards.
Haggerty, a native of Crosby, Texas, led the team with 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting while going 4-for-5 from long range in the team's victory over Ohio. Of his game-high scoring, Haggerty poured in 17 of his 23 points in the opening half to give Memphis as much as a 14-point lead. He went on to add in seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in the Tigers 94-70 win over the Bobcats.
Haggerty now leads the AAC in points per game (25.7), free throws made (24) and fifth in field goal percentage (.545).
