HOPEWELL, N.J. -- Memphis guard DeeDee Hagemann was named to the 25-player watch list for the 2025 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award, announced on Wednesday morning by Her Hoop Stats.Â
The senior Hagemann transferred to Memphis after three years at Michigan State, where she made 72 starts and was named to the 2023-24 All-Big Ten Second Team.Â
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Hagemann averaged 12.3 points and 5.3 assists in her final season in East Lansing, leading the Big Ten with a 2.84 assist/turnover ratio. Her eight assists in the first round of the NCAA tournament against North Carolina tied for the second-highest assist mark in MSU postseason history.Â
First conceived in 2020, this is the first time a Memphis player has appeared on a watch list for this award.Â
The Tigers will play their first exhibition game of the season next Tuesday, Oct. 15, as they host South Carolina in the Hoops for St. Jude Classic at 8:30 p.m., following the men's game against North Carolina. Proceeds will directly benefit St. Jude, and tickets can be purchased here.Â
