Tigers Hit the Course in Lady Red Wolves Classic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's golf team will be back in action this Monday and Tuesday when it plays in the Lady Red Wolves Classic hosted by Arkansas State.
"This is a big event for us. We have a young line up for this event, with two true freshmen, a sophomore and two juniors," head coach Jennifer Jordan said. "They have shown a lot of grit during their qualifying for this event and I am truly excited to see how they perform. Go tigers!"
The Tigers are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Pirate Collegiate Classic where they finished 25 over par with Tilly Garfootand Nutsanun Khamphueng both collecting top 20 finishes. The tournament was cut short (36 holes) due to incoming weather.
Competing this week for the Tigers will be Garfoot, Khamphueng, Emily Wilson, Claire Swathwood and Carla Van Remmen while Nicole Strydom and Julia Jarvholm will compete as individuals.
Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark., a par-72 course, will play host to 17 teams over the two day tournament. Live results can be found HERE.
