MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The undefeated streak continues for the Memphis Tiger men's soccer team following their 2-1 win over Belmont University tonight.

After tonight's game, Memphis moves to 4-0-1 for the season.

KEY MOMENTS

After the Bruins went up 1-0 in the 19', the Belmont defense would fail to clear a corner kick into the box and head one into their own goal to tie the match at 1-1 just 20 minutes into the match.
Just four minutes later, Eric Primo would find Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos in the box for the go-ahead goal.
The Tigers saw multiple chances in the first half to add to their lead with Gabriel Christensen, Hayden Anderson and Hyeonsang Jang all firing off shots that got stopped by the Bruins. Memphis would take their 2-1 lead into the break.
With time running down in the second half, Belmont would make a last-ditch effort to tie the match with three shots on-goal, all of which were stopped by JD Gunn.
The Tigers would hold steady in the final seconds of the match to take the 2-1 victory and remain undefeated this season.

NOTABLES

Gunn made his first start of the season going the full 90 minutes making five saves.
This is the first time since 2011 that Memphis has started the season undefeated through their first five games.

The Tigers outshot the Bruins 13-11 while both teams made six saves.

Memphis will head back out on the road next week when they travel to Lipscomb on Monday night and SMU on Friday evening.
