MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tiger men's soccer team would suffer their second loss of the season after they fell 2-1 to FIU on Saturday evening.

After tonight's game, Memphis moves to 4-2-2 for the season and 0-2 in AAC play.

KEY MOMENTS

Memphis got on the board early, getting a chip shot from Lineker Rodrigues Dos Santos from the top corner of the penalty box in the 7' for the 1-0 lead.
The Tigers would get more chances late in the first half with shots from Rodrigues dos Santos, Logan Longo, Eric Primo and Hayden Anderson, but would take their one goal lead into halftime.
After Memphis held the Panthers off for the majority of the match, FIU would net back-to-back goals in the 74' and 77' to take the lead.
The FIU defense would hold the Tigers to just two shots the entire second half, one from Giorgos Kondylis and another from Alberto Cruz, but neither were able to convert for a goal and Memphis suffered the 2-1 loss.

NOTABLES

Despite being held to two shots in the second half, Memphis won the battle on shots (12-9).
Colin Welsh got the start tonight making three saves in 90 minutes of work.
Rodrigues dos Santos' goal tonight marks the fourth in five matches for him and brings his season total up to seven – ranking first in the AAC.
