Tigers Learn 2023-24 AAC Matchups
Jul 20, 2023 | Men's Basketball
IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference announced its home and away designations for the 2023-24 men's basketball season Thursday, giving Memphis its matchups for each of the opposing AAC programs.
The American will have 14 teams competing in men's basketball with the six additions of UAB, Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, Rice and UTSA joining the eight continuing members.
The Tigers will play 18 league games this season, including five home-and-home series with Final Four participant Florida Atlantic, SMU, Tulane, UAB and Wichita State.
Memphis will host Charlotte, Rice, South Florida and UTSA for one game each inside FedEx Forum, and travel to East Carolina, North Texas, Temple and Tulsa for a single showdown in 2023-24. Dates and times for each game will be announced at a later date.
The 2024 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship will expand to a 14-team tournament and be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, March 13-17.
The Tigers are gearing up for an exciting season that will see nearly a full roster turnover for head coach Penny Hardaway in his sixth season at the helm. Graduate student Jayden Hardaway is currently the only returning player from a championship squad that finished 26-9 overall en route to earning the program's first AAC Championship and a second-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Season tickets for the 2023-24 Memphis men's basketball season are on sale now for as low as $200, and can be purchased at GoTigersGo.com.
