Rifle Announces 2023-24 Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis head rifle coach Morgan Phillips announced the team's 2023-24 schedule on Friday. The slate includes 12 regular season matches, an NCAA Qualifier, the Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) Championships and the NCAA Championships.
"Similar to last year, we have a challenging schedule against the top teams in the nation," Phillips said. "The fall, in particular, has us competing against Kentucky and WVU who have a long-standing history of being two of the best programs in the nation. There's huge benefit in this pushing us week to week, with the ultimate goal being the opportunity to qualify for NCAA's. Since we have a relatively young team, a lot of these ranges will be new to them. This will also be great experience for years to come."
The 2023-24 schedule for the Tigers includes five home matches at R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range in Memphis, Tenn. The slate also includes six contests against GARC opponents. The GARC Championships will be hosted by Army on Feb. 24-25, 2024, while the NCAA Championships will be hosted by West Virginia on March 8-9, 2024.
