Three Tigers Earn Top-20 Finishes at the Brickyard Collegiate

MACON, Ga. – The University of Memphis women's golf team placed fifth at the Brickyard Collegiate on Tuesday with a team score of 920 (+56). Mercer won the eight-team tournament at the Brickyard Golf Club with a total of 885 (+21).

"I'm proud of the last two rounds the team played because it's very difficult to come back from our first round," head coach Jennifer Jordan remarked. "We had four players in the top 20, Tilly in the top 10. Our goal was to be in the Top 3 in this event and we just fell short of that."

KEY MOMENTS
• Tilly Garfoot had a great showing for the Tigers, tying for sixth place overall with a score of 226 (+10).
• The freshman carded rounds of 79-73-74 to earn her third top-10 finish of the year and her fifth top 20.
• Senior Victoria England tied for 12^th place with a score of 228 (+12), while sophomore Katie Stinchcomb tied for 18^th with a total of 231 (+15).
• Playing as an individual, freshman Emily Wilson notched her first collegiate top-20 finish, tying for 20^th overall with a score of 232 (+16).
• Junior Rebecca Brink tied for 27^th place with a total of 236 (+20), while senior Brooke Veres placed 35^th with a score of 243 (+27).
