Stinchcomb Leads Tigers at UNF Collegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of Memphis women's golf team tied for 15th place out of 17 teams at the UNF Collegiate on Tuesday at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club with a team score of 903 (+39). Sam Houston State won the tournament with a total of 850 (-14).
"Not the finish we wanted or needed," head coach Jennifer Jordan remarked. "It just wasn't in the cards for us this week. It's time to get back to the grind."
KEY MOMENTS
• Sophomore Katie Stinchcomb led the way for the Tigers at the UNF Collegiate, tying for 39th place with a score of 224 (+8). After a first round 80 (+8), Stinchcomb fired off back-to-back rounds of 72 (E) to work her way up the scoreboard.
• Senior Victoria England tied for 44th place overall with a total of 225 (+9), while junior Rebecca Brink tied for 51st with a score of 226 (+10), just one stroke behind her.
• Senior Brooke Veres finished in a tie for 71st with a total of 231 (+15), while freshman Tilly Garfoot tied for 75th with a score of 233 (+17).
