Davis Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Tigers senior Kendric Davis has been named to the final American Athletic Conference Honor Roll of the season, the league office announced Monday.
This is the second weekly honor of the season for Davis.
The point guard averaged a team-high 24.5 points, 5.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in contests against SMU and No. 1 Houston. He made 13 field goals, went 6-of-13 from long distance (46.2) and connected on 17 of his 20 trips to the free throw line (85.0).
The point guard recorded his third double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 assists in his return to Moody Coliseum. He also swiped four steals in 36 minutes as Memphis captured an 81-62 victory over the Mustangs.
On Sunday, Davis dropped a game-high 26 points with three rebounds in the regular season finale against the top-ranked Cougars. He drained three triples and made 11-of-12 at the charity stripe in 38 minutes.
On the season, the Houston, Texas product is averaging a league-high 21.5 points, 5.6 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game.
Memphis will begin its road to the AAC crow Friday in Fort Worth, Texas as the No. 2 seed in the conference championship. The Tigers will play the winner of Thursday's No. 7 UCF and No. 10 SMU matchup.
Tip on Friday will be at 6 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
