• Coin Toss: Memphis won the coin toss and elected to receive the opening kickoff.

TEAM NOTES
• Memphis has scored 20 or more points in 23-consecutive games, the longest active streak in the nation.
• Dating back to the 2021 season, Memphis has forced at least one turnover in 22 of its last 27 games. Over that stretch, the Tigers have totaled 30 interceptions and 19 fumbles. Memphis has forced multiple turnovers in 15 of those 27 contests.
• Memphis has had a great home-field advantage at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, posting a record of 45-8 (.849) since head coach Ryan Silverfield joined the staff in 2016. As head coach, Silverfield is 20-5 (.800) at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

• Memphis went 76 yards in five plays (2:07) to start the game, capped off with a four-yard touchdown by quarterback Seth Henigan on a bootleg.
• Linebacker Chandler Martin recovered a USF fumble and returned it to the three-yard line, setting up a one-play touchdown drive – a pass from Henigan to tight end Brendan Doyle. It was just the second reception of the season for Doyle (both for touchdowns). On the next offensive drive, Doyle caught his third ball of the season, again for a touchdown.
• Henigan threw his third touchdown of the first half (all to tight ends) when he hit Anthony Landphere from 10-yards out to give Memphis a 28-14 lead with 6:54 remaining in the first half following the PAT by kicker Tanner Gillis.
• Henigan tossed his fourth touchdown of the half to wide receiver Roc Taylor (18 yards) with 2:27 to play in the first half. It marked the fifth touchdown of the half accounted for by Henigan – matching a career high, all in the first half.
• Gillis drilled a career-long 48-yard field goal to give Memphis a 38-35 lead with 9:05 to play in the third quarter.
• Running back Blake Watson rushed in a 34-yard touchdown to put Memphis in front, 45-42, following Gillis' PAT with 4:44 remaining in the third quarter. It marked the 10th rushing touchdown of the year for Watson.
• Defensive back Simeon Blair picked off a USF pass in the endzone with 2:10 to play in the third quarter. It marked the second pick this season for Blair.
• Quarterback Tevin Carter entered the game for a play and found Taylor on the sideline on an out route. Taylor broke a tackle and tight roped down the sideline 85 yards for the touchdown. It was the longest play this season for the Tigers and the first touchdown pass of Carter's career.
• Running back Brandon Thomas found paydirt from eight-yards out with 3:20 left in the game – the 23rd of his career, putting him in a tie for seventh all-time at Memphis.
• Henigan ended the game 23-of-40 for 349 yards, four passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown, adding 42 rushing yards on eight carries. 304 of his 349 passing yards came in the first half. Carter went 2-for-2 passing for 92 yards and a touchdown.
• Watson paced the Tigers on the ground once again, rushing 10 times for 64 yards and a touchdown and hauling in one pass for four yards. Thomas carried the rock eight times for 30 yards and a score.
• Two Tigers went over 100 yards receiving in the win – Taylor (5 receptions, 159 yards, 2 TD) and wide receiver Demeer Blankumsee (6 receptions, 142 yards).
