TEAM NOTES
• Memphis has scored 20 or more points in 24-consecutive games, the longest active streak in the nation.
• Dating back to the 2021 season, Memphis has forced at least one turnover in 23 of its last 28 games. Over that stretch, the Tigers have totaled 34 interceptions and 19 fumbles. Memphis has forced multiple turnovers in 16 of those 28 contests.
• Silverfield ranks third in program history in wins (29) for a head coach through their first-four seasons, trailing only Mike Norvell (38) and Ralph Hatley (30).
• Over the last four games, Memphis has scored 193 points – the most over a four-game stretch since the Tigers scored 232 in a four-game span in 2017 (vs. Tulsa, SMU, ECU, UCF).

PLAYER NOTES
• The Tigers opened the game with a 13-play (5:26), 65-yard drive that was capped off with a three-yard touchdown plunge by running back Brandon Thomas. It was the 24th rushing touchdown of Thomas' career, moving him into a tie for sixth all-time at Memphis for career rushing touchdowns.
• Defensive back Tyrin Taylor intercepted a pass on Charlotte's opening drive of the game.
• Quarterback Seth Henigan found a streaking Demeer Blankumsee down the seam for a 35-yard touchdown pass to make the score 17-14, Charlotte, and get the Tigers within a field goal headed into halftime.
• Defensive back Cameron Smith picked off a Charlotte pass just before halftime – his second of the season.
• Linebacker Chandler Martin housed a 60-yard pick-six coming out of the half to give Memphis the lead back (21-17). It was the first interception of Martin's career and marked the third pick-six by a Tiger this season, joining DJ Bell and Malik Feaster.
• Trailing 31-21, running back Sutton Smith gave the Tigers a big momentum play with a 78-yard kick return before being tackled – the longest return of his career and for the Tigers this season.
• The return by Smith set up a six-yard rushing touchdown for running back Blake Watson, his 11th rushing score of the year.
• Watson then hauled in an eight-yard touchdown reception to get Memphis within three points once again, 38-35, with 5:25 remaining in the game. The touchdown was Watson's 13th combined rushing/receiving touchdown this season.
• With just :35 remaining in the game, kicker Tanner Gillis redeemed himself from an earlier miss with a 43-yard field goal to send the game to overtime.
• The Tigers forced a missed field goal in the first overtime period and took over on offense with a chance to win the game with any score. Memphis handed the ball to Watson five-straight times, the fifth one ending the game on a two-yard touchdown – his 14th of the year.
• Tight end Anthony Landphere hauled in a career-high seven passes for 63 yards – also a career-best total.
• Henigan ended the game 32-of-48 passing for 329 yards and a pair of touchdowns for his 16th 300-yard game of his career – the most in program history.
• Watson carried the ball 22 times for 83 yards and a pair of touchdowns and added eight receptions for 41 yards and a score. His 124 combined yards gave him his seventh game this season combining for over the century mark.
• Blankumsee ended the game with four receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Joseph Scates added four catches for 55 yards.
• Linebacker Geoffrey Cantin-Arku recorded a game-high 12 tackles to go with a sack, a TFL, an interception and a pass breakup.
• Martin ended the game with nine stops, two tackles-for-loss and a pick-six.
• Defensive backs Simeon Blair, Greg Rubin and Cameron Smith each had seven stops, and Smith also had an interception.
