Postgame Notes: Memphis vs. Tulane

KICKING IT OFF
• Coin Toss: Memphis won the toss and elected to defer to the second half. Tulane chose to receive.
• Memphis Captains: Jaylon Allen, Simeon Blair, Seth Henigan and Jacob Likes
• Attendance: 35,609
GAME NOTES
• Quarterback Seth Henigan hit wide receiver Demeer Blankumsee for a 17-yard touchdown strike with 5:15 remaining in the first half for the Tigers' first points of the game, cutting Tulane's lead to 10-7 after the Tanner Gillis PAT.
• The touchdown pass from Henigan to Blankumsee officially moved Henigan past former Tiger Riley Ferguson for fourth on Memphis' career passing list.
• Memphis found paydirt once again with just :45 to play in the first half when Henigan found a wide-open Joseph Scates for a 28-yard touchdown that gave the Tigers a 14-10 lead heading into the half.
• Henigan threw his third touchdown pass of the game on the opening drive of the second half, this time hitting wide receiver Koby Drake from 10-yards out. The score extended Memphis' lead to 21-10 after the Gillis PAT.
• On Blankumsee's fifth reception of the game, he eclipsed 100 yards receiving to mark the third-consecutive game Memphis has had a 100-yard receiver. He ended the game with six catches for 108 yards and a touchdown.
• Wide receiver Roc Taylor went over 100 yards receiving for the third-straight game, ending with a game and career-high seven receptions for 108 yards.
• Defensive back Greg Rubin picked up his first-career sack late in the third quarter. He ended the night with four solo stops and a quarterback hurry to go with his sack.
• Henigan ended the game 24-for-43 passing for 321 yards and three touchdowns (2 INT). It marked the 13th 300-yard game of Henigan's career, moving him into a tie with Riley Ferguson for the most in Tiger history.
• Linebacker Chandler Martin led Memphis and had a game-high 11 tackles (nine solo).
• Defensive back Simeon Blair had a season-high seven stops.
• Defensive back DJ Bell matched a career high with six tackles (five solo) and broke up a pass.
