Williams Secures AAC Weekly Honor Roll Nod

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Tigers senior forward DeAndre Williams earned his third American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll award for his play in Saturday's win over East Carolina, the AAC announced Monday.
Williams also picked up AAC Weekly Honor Roll nods on Dec. 5 and Dec. 26.
The Houston, Texas product produced a team-high 19 points on 8-17 shooting, and added four rebounds, two steals and a block in 32 minutes as the Tigers defeated the Pirates, 69-59, in their only game of the week.
Leading the team in scoring for the sixth time this season, Williams extended his double-digit scoring streak to 12 games and eclipsed 10-plus points for the 14th time overall in 16 outings on the year.
On the season, he's averaging 15.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists, while shooting 54.8 percent from the field.
The Tigers (12-4, 2-1 AAC) hit the road for a pair of matchups this week. They will make the trek to Orlando to face UCF on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+ before traveling to Philadelphia for the first time since the 2018-19 season to face Temple at 2 p.m. CT Sunday on ESPN2.
Memphis will be back in FedExForum Thursday, Jan. 19 when Wichita State invades at 6 p.m.
