• Saturday's game was the first season opener on the road for the Tigers since 2010.

• Redshirt-senior defensive back Quindell Johnson registered his seventh-career interception in the second quarter, which led to redshirt-senior kicker Chris Howard's first field goal as a Tiger (42 yards).
• Johnson ended the contest with nine total tackles, an INT and a fumble recovery.
• Redshirt-sophomore running back Jevyon Ducker played in his first game as a Tiger and scored on his very first carry (50 yards). It was the fourth-career rushing TD for Ducker after scoring three for Northern Illinois a season ago.
• Redshirt-senior running back Asa Martin hauled in a career-high five receptions for a team-high 58 yards.
• Sophomore quarterback Seth Henigan threw his 26th-career TD pass and is now tied for ninth all-time at Memphis. Henigan's 254 career completions now rank eighth in Tiger history.
• Henigan scored his first-career rushing TD from one yard out in the fourth quarter.
• Redshirt-senior wide receiver Eddie Lewis caught six passes to lead the team (38 yards), including the lone touchdown through the air for the Tigers.
• Redshirt-senior defensive lineman Jaylon Allen doubled his career high in tackles, leading the Tigers with 12 – including a sack.
• Sophomore defensive back Cameron Smith recorded a career-high in tackles (7) and sophomore defensive back Greg Rubin matched a career-high in tackles (8).
