DALLAS (SMU) – The Tigers (11-5,1-2) traveled to SMU (9-6,2-1) for their first conference road match on Wednesday afternoon. Memphis dropped the match 3-1.

Memphis came out hot winning the first set 25-19 over the Mustangs with Jasmyn Tate leading the way with six kills and two of the teams five blocks. SMU hit a .07 hitting percentage in the first.

The Mustangs bounced back, winning the next two frames 25-17,25-13. Memphis kept the fourth frame competitive and exchanged points and the lead 14 times ultimately losing the set 24-26.

NOTABLES

Senior Kate Bass posted 12 kills on a .429 hitting percentage against the Mustang and had a match high six blocks. I was her fourth straight match with at least five kills.
Bailey Houlihan had a match high 28-digs, which is also her season best.
