
Cullens Earns Spot on AAC Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis linebacker Xavier "Zay" Cullens was named to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after helping the Tigers take down North Texas, 44-34, this past Saturday at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
Cullens was all over the field for Memphis in the victory, including a 37-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. He also had eight tackles, one tackle for loss and a fumble recovery for the Tigers.
Memphis will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 1 when the team will play host to AAC rival Temple at 11 a.m. at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
