Memphis Ties for Third Place at Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The University of Memphis women's golf team tied for third place with a team total of 881 (+17) at the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Club in Greenville, S.C. on Sunday. No. 43-ranked Furman won with a score of 866 (+2), while Old Dominion took second. The Tigers ended in a tie with No. 45 North Florida.
"To finish in third place with this field is solid," head coach Jennifer Jordan said. "They just keep getting better and better. I am so proud of them and I know they are proud of themselves. These first three events have been a lot of fun."
KEY MOMENTS
• Freshman Tilly Garfoot had the best tournament of her young career for Memphis, placing eighth overall with a score of 215 (-1). She was consistent all weekend, posting scores of 71-72-72.
• Playing as an individual, redshirt sophomore Lea Dawson had the best showing of her Tiger career, tying for 22nd place with a total of 222 (+6).
• Senior Victoria England tied for 27th with a score of 223 (+7), while sophomore Katie Stinchcomb tied for 35th with a total of 225 (+9).
• Senior Brooke Veres tied for 51st with a score of 228 (+12), while junior Rebecca Brink tied for 57th with a total of 229 (+13).
