Memphis Athletics Updates Football Gameday Operations
Sep 22, 2022 | Football
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Ahead of Saturday's home football game, Memphis Athletics and its partners at the City of Memphis and Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium have announced updated gameday procedures.
"We recognize some fans were impacted by difficulties entering the stadium last Saturday, and we appreciate everyone's patience as we worked with our partners this week to address these issues," University of Memphis Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Laird Veatch said. "We are judged by the experience we provide, and we feel that these operational and fan experience updates will help minimize these issues for the rest of the season.
"We also continue to encourage fans to download their digital tickets and parking passes prior to arriving at the stadium grounds, have all items out of their pockets before reaching the security checkpoints and make plans to head into the stadium early."
The pregame pep rally by the fountain will begin at 1:30 p.m., 15 minutes earlier, so fans can enter the stadium afterwards. Additionally, the stadium will be running "Happy Hour" beer specials on all 16 oz canned beers from when gates open at 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Fans can purchase 16 oz canned beers for $6 at all grab-and-gos, bars and portable locations.
Additional updates include:
Gates open at 1 p.m. on Saturday for the 2:30 p.m. kickoff against North Texas. Parking lots will open at 8 a.m. Tickets are available online at www.GoTigersGoTix.com or via phone at (901) 678-2331.
