MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tiger women's soccer team will be on the road this week to play against the Bearcats of Cincinnati in their second AAC match of the season.
Memphis (4-3-2) is coming off a conference-opening draw with UCF and their third consecutive shutout. Goalkeeper Claire Wyville, who has started the last three games for the Tigers, has recorded all three shutouts while making nine combined saves.
For the season, Momo Nakao and Anne-Valerie Seto lead the team with three goals each while eight other Memphis players have recorded goals.
Cincinnati (4-1-3) is coming off a 3-0 win over Morehead State this past weekend where Vanessa DiNardo scored two of the team's three goals. DiNardo also currently leads the Bearcat offense with four goals while eight different players have scored for Cincinnati so far.
Anna Rexford has been the go-to in goal for Cincinnati with 18 saves made in her eight appearances.
The Tigers and Bearcats have a long history of playing to close with one another; four of their last six matches have been decided by two goals or less. But it has been Memphis who has controlled the series for the past four years winning four of the last five matchups.
Thursday's match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT time with coverage available on ESPN+ and on GoTigersGo.com.
