No. 37 Memphis Finishes Regular Season with 6-1 Win over Tennessee State

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The 37th-ranked Memphis Tiger men's tennis team closed the regular season with a 6-1 victory over Tennessee State Saturday afternoon in Memphis, Tenn.
The Tigers (14-6) now turn their attention to AAC Championship action, which runs next Friday-Sunday in Tulsa, Okla.
Memphis captured the doubles point to start the match, and its 21st-ranked team of David Stevenson/Jeremy Taylor was leading 5-2 when doubles was secured.
Highlights on the singles side included freshman Pablo Alemany Malea improving to 15-0 on the year with a 6-2, 6-2 win on court four. Additionally, Harry Rock and Patrick Sydow won eight-point pro sets on courts five and six. With Memphis having already clinched the match, singles one played a 10-point tiebreaker instead of a full third set.
