No. 37 Memphis Tops No. 49 UCF, 4-2

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The 37th-ranked Memphis Tiger men's tennis team knocked off No. 49 UCF Sunday afternoon in Memphis, Tenn., 4-2.
The Tigers (13-6) have defeated two ranked teams this year, both in conference action.
"Today was a great win against a very good UCF team," Memphis head coach Paul Goebel said. "It was a true team effort, and this should give us some positive momentum heading into the final couple of weeks of the season."
Memphis battled to wins on doubles courts two and three to earn the day's opening point. David Stevenson, Pablo Alemany Malea and Harry Rock were victorious in singles play to seal the match for the Tigers.
Freshman Alemany Malea knocked off No. 77 Trey Hilderbrand of UCF on court four to remain unbeaten this season at 14-0.
The Tigers return to Memphis University School on Saturday to take on Tennessee State. AAC Championship play runs April 22-24 in Tulsa, Okla.
