Women’s Soccer Releases Spring Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Head women's soccer coach Brooks Monaghan has announced the spring schedule for the Tigers that includes match ups with two SEC foes and a Canadian soccer club.
"We're very excited about this year's spring schedule," said Monaghan. "We've scheduled some very strong opponents and we haven't had a normal spring season in several years due to COVID-19 so we are eager to get back to a more normal routine."
The team will start the spring off with a rematch of Ole Miss on Feb. 28 after the Tigers played to a 1-1 draw with the Rebels in the fall.
Memphis will then face-off against the Toronto Blizzard Soccer Club, a successful Canadian-based club that has a long history of producing top-tier Division I student-athletes, Vanderbilt, Little Rock, UT Martin, and UAB before closing the season with another match up with Ole Miss.
"We approach the spring season differently than we do the fall; we have a more 'everybody plays' mentality and see this as a great opportunity for players who didn't get as much playing time in the fall to showcase themselves," said Monaghan.
