Davis Brings Home AAC Weekly Honor Roll Nod

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Tigers senior Kendric Davis has been named the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll team for his efforts on the court this past week.
This is the first weekly honor of the season for a Tiger.
Davis averaged a team-high 22.0 points and 7.0 assists per game in contests against Saint Louis and VCU. He shot 14-of-31 (45.2%) from the floor and connected on 12 of his 13 trips to the free throw line.
The point guard scored 18 points with four assists and three rebounds on Tuesday against the Billikens before coming home and pouring in a game-high 26 points, seven assists and four boards Sunday in his Memphis debut at FedExForum.
On the season through three games, the Houston, Texas product is averaging 20.0 points, 5.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds each time out. He is 24th nationally in free throw percentage (94.7%) after draining 18-of-19 trips.
Memphis (2-1) knocked off VCU 62-47 Sunday evening and returns to the road this Thanksgiving week to battle in the ESPN Events Invitational. The Tigers open play Thursday against Seton Hall at 6:30 p.m. in Orlando.
