MEMPHIS, Tenn. – With postseason on the horizon, the Memphis Tiger men's soccer team welcomed the Blazers of UAB to town in their final regular season match. Two early goals would secure Memphis' feat as they cruised to the 2-0 victory.

After today's game, Memphis moves to 8-4-4 for the season and 5-3-1 in American Athletic Conference play.

KEY MOMENTS

A perfectly played ball from Cam Weston in the 12' set up the Tigers first goal as Peter Chang found an open Eric Primo in the box who connected with the back of the net.
Memphis picked up their second goal of the night in the 35' when Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos and Gabriel Christensen played a give-and-go at the top of the box with Christensen sending one past the UAB goalkeeper for the 2-0 lead.
UAB would fire off three shots in the second half that were blocked by Memphis defenders while Colin Welsh made two stops in the final 45 minutes.

NOTABLES

Welsh picked up five total saves tonight.
Memphis won the battle on shots (16-13) and corner kicks (8-3).
The Tigers kept their unbeaten streak at home alive with their eighth consecutive win or tie at the Track & Soccer Complex.

UP NEXT

The Tigers, who finished 5^th in the regular season, will travel to #4 Tulsa for the opening round of the AAC Championships. Play is scheduled for Sunday. A time will be released at a later date.
