Griggs Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Following an explosion of offense in the Tiger's opening week of play, senior guard Madison Griggs has been named to the American Athletic Conference's Weekly Honor Roll.
Griggs, who opened her senior campaign with an 18-point performance against Columbia, went 7-13 from the field and picked up three steals. She would follow that up with her second consecutive 18-point game while going 6-8 from long range in the team's dominating 101-54 win over Howard. Griggs would also collect six rebounds over the two-game span.
Griggs currently ranks first in the conference with her 62.5% from long range and an average of five three-pointers made per game.
This is the fifth Weekly Honor Roll nod for Griggs in her career and seventh time she has been named to the Weekly Awards.
Memphis (1-1) is back in action this Wednesday, Nov. 16 against Miami (Ohio). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. Coverage of the game can be found on ESPN+ and on 98.9 THE ROAR OF MEMPHIS with Tyler Springs on the call.
