• Coin Toss: Memphis won the toss and deferred to the second half. Houston elected to receive.
• Memphis Captains: Jaylon Allen, Quindell Johnson, Eddie Lewis, Austin Myers

TEAM NOTES
• Memphis has forced at least one turnover in 11-straight games, piling up 25 takeaways over that span.
• Memphis put together two of their longest scoring drives of the season. On the opening offensive drive of the game for the Tigers, they went 14 plays (78 yards) and chewed up 6:15 of clock. Memphis then put together a 15-play, 89-yard drive that consumed 6:25 of game time.
• Memphis came up with a goal-line stand to force a Houston turnover on downs on the opening drive for the Cougars in the second half.
• A pair of Tigers threw touchdown passes in the contest. It was the first time two Tigers (Henigan, Rogers) threw touchdown passes in a game since 2021 against SMU.

• Redshirt-sophomore running back Brandon Thomas scored his seventh rushing touchdown of the season on the Tigers' opening drive to cap Memphis' second-longest scoring drive of the season.
• Sophomore quarterback Seth Henigan moved to sixth all-time at Memphis in pass attempts and completions on the Tigers' first drive of the evening.
• Redshirt-senior defensive back Quindell Johnson picked off his third pass of the season with 2:24 to play in the first quarter to extend Memphis' streak to 11-consecutive games forcing at least one turnover. It was the ninth-career interception for Johnson.
• Redshirt-junior tight end Caden Prieskorn hauled in a career-long reception from Henigan en route to a 25-yard touchdown, extending his streak to five-consecutive games with a TD reception. He has scored six times in the past five games.
• Redshirt-sophomore defensive lineman Cormontae Hamilton recorded his second sack of the season early in the second quarter.
• Redshirt-senior running back Asa Martin broke off a career-long run for 37 yards in the first half. It marked the second-straight game Martin rushed for a gain of 30 yards or more.
• Redshirt-senior quarterback Ryan Glover had a career-long rush of 28 yards midway through the third quarter.
• With 3:15 to play in the first half, redshirt-senior kicker Chris Howard was good from 36 yards. He added a 28-yard field goal with 4:54 to play in the third quarter and two fourth-quarter field goals (26, 39) to improve to 11-for-11 on field goal tries this season. Howard set career highs in both field-goal attempts and makes.
• Howard's second field goal was the result of a 15-play, 89-yard drive. It was Memphis' most plays, second-most yards and second-longest drive by time (6:25) this season.
• With 14:50 remaining, fifth-year wide receiver Gabriel Rogers found Martin in the end zone for a 41-yard touchdown pass. It was the second completion and first touchdown pass of Rogers' career.
• Rogers filled the stat sheet for the game, racking up 71 receiving yards while matching a career-high five receptions, rushing for 23 yards, passing for 41 yards and a touchdown while also gaining 33 kickoff-return yards.
• Fifth-year linebacker Xavier "Zay" Cullens had a game-high 10 tackles (seven solo) including a tackle-for loss. He also broke up a pass and hurried the quarterback once.
