MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Tigers (14-6,4-3) swept Tulane (6-12, 1-6) on Friday night. Memphis held the Green Wave to .184 hitting percentage.

Memphis jumped out to an early 12-8 lead to start the match and never trailed during the first frame. The Tigers went up 1-0 in the match with a 25-21victory in the set.

After falling down 2-1 to begin the second set Memphis went on a 9-3 run to go up by five and forcing a Tulane timeout. The run was highlighted by multiple kills from Miaya Smith and Tabytha Toelke. Memphis took the second set 25-21.

Momentum continued for the Tigers as they entered the third and final set with Memphis taking a 10-3 lead. Tulane would not get within five points and the Tigers won the set 25-19.

Notables

Miaya Smith led the way for Memphis with 13 kills on a .476 hitting percentage. She recorded fours digs and two blocks on the evening.
Senior Kate Bass had a match-high four blocks and Loren Robertson had a match-high 34 assist.
