Tigers Take on #24 Tulsa

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Fresh off a win over Temple, the Memphis Tiger men's soccer team will take on their second ranked opponent in 10 days when they head to Oklahoma to take on #24 Tulsa.
Memphis (6-2-3, 3-1-1 AAC) extended their scoring streak to eight games after Gabriel Christensen found the feet of Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos in the 37' to give the Tigers the 1-0 lead. That lead would stand throughout the second half as Colin Welsh made a game-saving stop with 13 seconds left on the clock.
For the season, Alberto Cruz leads the team with six goals while Rodrigues dos Santos has recorded five goals and three assists. Seven other Tiger players have recorded goals this season while the team has outscored their opponents 22-13. In goal, Welsh continues to shine for Memphis; the sophomore has made 37 stops this season while ranking as one of the top goalkeepers in the AAC with a 1.20 goals-against average.
Tulsa (6-2-2, 2-2-1 AAC) is coming off a 2-1 defeat against South Florida where the Bulls scored two unanswered goals in the 73' and 81'. USF would go on to outshoot the Golden Hurricane 26-8 while winning the battle on corner kicks 7-3.
For the season, Malik Henry-Scott leads the team with six goals while Alex Meinhart has recorded five. In goal, Alex Lopez has been the go-to for Tulsa with 810 minutes of work. Lopez has made 29 saves in nine appearances.
Memphis has struggled in recent years against Tulsa, falling to the Golden Hurricane in their last four match-ups.
Saturday's match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time with coverage available on ESPN+.
