• Coin Toss: Temple won the toss and deferred to the second half; Memphis elected to receive.

TEAM NOTES
• With 7:23 to play in the first quarter, the Tigers stopped the Owls on a fourth-down attempt from the four-yard line. It was the first time this season that Temple did not come away with a touchdown after a trip to the red zone.
• Memphis improved to 39-5 (.886) at home since head coach Ryan Silverfield joined the coaching staff in 2016. As a head coach, Silverfield is 14-2 (.875) at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
• Memphis' 4-1 start to the season is the best since the team began the 2019 campaign 5-0.
• The Tigers have started 2-0 in American Athletic Conference (AAC) play for the first time since 2016.
• Today's win marked the longest winning streak for the Tigers (4) since 2019.
• Memphis has forced at least one turnover in 10-straight games, piling up 24 takeaways over that span.
• The Tigers' three points allowed today was the first time that Memphis has allowed three or fewer points since 2016 against Bowling Green (9/24/16).

PLAYER NOTES
• In the second quarter, sophomore quarterback Seth Henigan moved into seventh all-time on Memphis' career completions list with his 13th completion of the game. Henigan ended with 24 completions in the game and has 340 for his career. He needs two more to move to sixth all-time.
• Additionally, Henigan's 45 pass attempts moved him into a tie for eighth in program history (559).
• Redshirt-sophomore running back Brandon Thomas scored the game's first touchdown with 1:36 to play in the third quarter.
• Thomas rushed in his second touchdown of the day and sixth of the season from two yards out with 4:15 remaining in the game to ice the Tigers' 24-3 win. It was the second-consecutive game with two rushing touchdowns for Thomas and fourth such game of his career.
• Redshirt-senior kicker Chris Howard stayed perfect on field goal attempts this season (7-for-7) with his 30-yard make with 11:27 remaining in the game to give the Tigers a 10-3 lead.
• Henigan found redshirt-junior tight end Caden Prieskorn wide open in the end zone for a four-yard touchdown pass to put the Tigers up 17-3 with 7:00 remaining in the game. It was Prieskorn's fifth TD reception in the past four games.
• Henigan had a game-high 19 rushing attempts for 60 yards. His 19 attempts were a new career high.
• Redshirt-senior running back Asa Martin had a career-long rush of 30 yards in the game. He ended the game with three carries for 52 yards and added two receptions for 13 yards.
• With 5:36 remaining in the game, fifth-year linebacker Xavier "Zay" Cullens came down with an interception and returned it 22 yards to Temple's 18-yard line. It was the second-consecutive game with an INT for Cullens, who had a game-high nine tackles (2.5 TFL).
• Fifth-year defensive lineman Wardalis Ducksworth recorded his second sack of the season and 11th of his career. Duckworth's first sack of the season came a week ago against North Texas.
• Fifth-year linebacker Tyler Murray came away with the second takeaway of the came for the Tigers, intercepting a pass with 3:01 remaining in the game.
• Redshirt-senior linebacker Cincir Evans intercepted the third pass of the day for Memphis with :57 remaining to close out the win for the Tigers. He also had a trio of tackles on the day.
