Tigers Top Jackson State in Spring Opener, 7-0

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tiger men's tennis team made quick work of Jackson State in its spring opener, winning 7-0 Monday in Memphis, Tenn.
The Tigers won the doubles point behind wins by number-two team Pau Fanlo/Jeremy Taylor and number-three squad Harry Rock/Pablo Alemany Malea.
Memphis then grabbed all six singles points, highlighted by ITA No. 112 Oscar Cutting winning from the top position, 6-2, 7-5. No other singles match saw Jackson State score more than three points in any set.
Freshmen Alemany Malea, Sam Edgar and Rock were playing in their first-career spring matches for the Tigers.
Up next for the Tigers are road matches at Northwestern on Friday and Notre Dame on Sunday.
