Minott Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Tigers freshman Josh Minott earned his second-straight American Athletic Conference recognition, this time being named to the weekly Honor Roll for his performances last week.
Minott, who was selected the AAC Freshman of the Week on Jan. 3, averaged a double-double in Memphis' wins over Tulsa and Cincinnati. He made his first two starts as a Tiger and contributed 10.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per outing, helping the Tigers move to 3-1 in conference action in the early goings.
The Boca Raton, Fla., native grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds against the Golden Hurricane Tuesday night to go along with seven points and five assists, and he followed up with his first double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds Sunday afternoon against the Bearcats. Seven of Minott's 10 rebounds against Cincinnati came on the offensive end.
Minott and the Tigers hit the road this week to UCF on Wednesday and East Carolina on Saturday. Memphis' next home game is Thursday, Jan. 20 against SMU.
