AAC Announces League Schedule, Initial Television Slate

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The American Athletic Conference has announced its 2021-22 men's basketball schedule and initial television selections, with the Memphis Tigers featured prominently in national broadcasts.

The AAC has a league-record five games airing nationally over the air on ABC or CBS, four of which involve the Tigers. Memphis hosts 2021 Final Four participant Houston on the final day of the regular season, Sunday, March 6, at 11 a.m. on CBS, and Cincinnati travels to FedExForum on Sunday, Jan. 9 at 2:30 p.m. on ABC.

The Tigers open the new year at 2021 NCAA Tournament participant Wichita State on Saturday, Jan. 1 at 11 a.m. on CBS, and Memphis' visit to Houston comes on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 2:30 p.m. on ABC.

In all, 14 of Memphis' 18 conference games will be broadcast nationally on ABC, CBS or the ESPN family of networks. The others will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Also of note, Memphis' home game against 2021 Sweet 16 squad Alabama on Dec. 14 will be at 8 p.m. on ESPN2, and the Tigers' Saturday, Dec. 18 clash with Tennessee at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., will be at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
