Important Update on Events at FedExForum
Sep 29, 2021 | Men's Basketball
FedExForum has implemented a policy requiring fans 12 and older to present proof of a COVID-19 vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours to attend all scheduled Tigers and Memphis Grizzlies games at the venue beginning Oct. 20 through at least Nov. 19. Fans have to have at least started the vaccine series but do not have to yet be fully vaccinated.
The policy starts Oct. 20 to allow fans more opportunity to start the vaccine series if they have not yet already. The only policy in place for Memphis Madness on Oct. 13 will be the Shelby County Health Department requirement for masks in indoor public settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if I am not comfortable getting a vaccine?
A: This policy does not mandate vaccination for fans. It allows for fans to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours, so you do not have to get a vaccine to attend games.
Q: Are masks still required?
A: Yes, the latest Shelby County Health Directive still requires masks in indoor public settings through at least the end of October. Per local and national guidelines, children under 2 will not be required to wear a mask.
Q: How will this work?
A: To allow for a more streamlined entry, FedExForum is implementing CLEAR Health Pass as a secure way for fans to upload their vaccination cards and test results from providers for faster entry. Fans utilizing CLEAR on their phones will be able to access priority lines upon entry at FedExForum, with those showing physical cards/negative test results going through a manual check. Fans can download the CLEAR app by visiting Clear.app.link/FedExForum from their mobile phone. Additional details on utilizing the CLEAR Health Pass app, including select healthcare providers and pharmacies integrated with CLEAR for test results, are available at www.FedExForum.com/arena-policy-updates.
Q: What types of negative results will be accepted for entry?
A: In addition to testing partners integrated with CLEAR, FedExForum will also accept digital or physical proof of a negative COVID-19 test result from other local qualified pharmacies and healthcare providers as well as at-home tests available at national retail outlets. Please visit www.FedExForum.com/arena-policy-updates for additional information on test results.
Q: What about if the mask mandate is lifted?
A: Once the mask order is lifted, and with the vaccination/negative test policy already in place, fans can get back to a mask-less environment inside FedExForum with the confidence that everyone in attendance is either vaccinated or has shown proof of a negative test.
Q: Does this affect my seat location for the season?
A: No, there are no changes to seat locations with no social distancing.
