TEAM NOTES
• With the victory, Memphis has started a season 2-0 for the fifth time in the last seven years.
• The win was Memphis' first victory in Jonesboro since a 47-35 win Sep. 18, 2004.
• Memphis improved to 31-24-5 all-time against Arkansas State.
• With 55 points, the Tigers scored at least 40 points for the second consecutive game for the first time since at home against UCF and Temple Oct. 17/24, 2020.
• 55 points was the most scored by Memphis since a 56-14 win against Stephen F. Austin, Nov. 21, 2020, and the most points scored on the road since a 59-41 win at East Carolina, Nov. 3, 2018.

• Quarterback Seth Henigan finished with 417 passing yards, eighth most in a single game in program history and most since Brady White threw for 437 yards in a 34-33 win over USF, Nov. 7, 2020.
• Henigan threw five touchdown passes, most since White threw six in Memphis' 50-49 win over UCF, Oct. 17, 2020.
• Wide receiver Calvin Austin III had six catches for 239 yards, the second most receiving yards in a single game in program history behind only Anthony Miller's 250-yard performance vs. Tulsa, Oct. 29, 2016.
• Austin III totaled more than 100 receiving yards for the seventh time in his career, the third most 100-yard games in program history.
• With nine receptions for 143 yards, tight end Sean Dykes tallied his fourth career 100-yard game.
• Running back Brandon Thomas rushed for a game-high 191 yards, his second straight 100-yard game and first time a Memphis running back has rushed for more than 175 yards in a game since Darrell Henderson ran for 178 yards vs. Houston, Nov. 23, 2018.
• Thomas' 163 rushing yards were the first time a Memphis running back has eclipsed 125 yards in a quarter since Kenneth Gainwell rushed for 142 yards against Louisiana Monroe, Oct. 5, 2019.
• Thomas' 75-yard touchdown run near the end of the first half was Memphis' longest run since Antonio Gibson had a 78-yard touchdown run against SMU Nov. 2, 2019.
• With Thomas' 191 rushing yards as well as Austin III's 239 receiving yards and Dykes' 143 receiving yards, the Tigers had at least one rusher and receiver go for 100+ yards for the second consecutive game.
• Austin III and Dykes were the first Memphis teammates with 100+ receiving yards in the same game since Javon Ivory and Tahj Washington each surpassed 100-receiving yards in the Montgomery Bowl vs. FAU, Dec. 23, 2020.
• Linebacker Thomas Pickens set a new career-high with 10 tackles.
• Defensive back Greg Rubin set new career-highs in tackles (7) and pass breakups (6).
