Nine Tigers Named ITA All-Academic Scholar Athletes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Nine Memphis Tiger women's tennis players were named ITA All-Academic Scholar Athletes, and the team as a whole was awarded All-Academic Team honors for its efforts in the classroom in 2020-21.

Sophie Abrams, Laura Bente, Josephine Cao, Katherine Cao, Hannah Davies, Miriam Grosmann, Aran Teixido Garcia, Dolavee Tumthong and Monique Woog all picked up academic honors for having a GPA of at least 3.5. The team earned its award for having a team GPA of at least 3.2.

"I am proud of this year's team and their success in the classroom," Tigers head coach Hayden Perez said. "This is a dedicated group, and I am glad they have been recognized by the ITA for their hard work."
