Tigers Close Out Fall Slate with Strong Showing at Bonita Bay Collegiate Classic

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - The University of Memphis women's tennis team wrapped up its fall season on a high note over the weekend, collecting 12 total victories across three days of competition at the Bonita Bay Collegiate Classic in Bonita Springs, Florida. The Tigers faced a competitive field that included Colorado, North Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast.

The highlight of the weekend came on Saturday when the Tigers rolled past North Alabama, 6–1, behind a dominant singles performance and steady doubles play.

Leading the charge for Memphis were Sofiia Mykhailets and Natalia Koppova, who each posted a combined 4-2 record across singles and doubles competition. Emma Dvorackova also turned in a strong showing, earning a 2-1 singles mark on the weekend, while Alicia Mall added key wins in both singles and doubles to help power the Tigers.

The Tigers opened play Friday with a strong showing against Colorado, taking both doubles matches and three singles victories. On Saturday, Memphis kept its momentum rolling in the win over North Alabama before closing out competition Sunday against host FGCU, where the Tigers picked up two more singles victories.

With the fall season now complete, Memphis will turn its attention to spring dual-match play, which begins in January.
