Glidden, Pope Named to 247Sports’ 30Under30 List

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis football wide receivers coach David Glidden and defensive line coach Kyle Pope were named to 247Sports' 30Under30 List on Thursday. The list highlights some of the fastest-rising college football personnel in the country.
Glidden and Pope join director of recruiting Landan Salem on the Memphis staff who have been recognized by 247Sports' 30Under30 List.
Glidden takes over the Tigers' wide receiver group this season after spending last year as the team's tight ends coach. Glidden helped Memphis rank 22nd in the nation in total offense (453.1) and 17th in both passing offense (307.9) and first down offense (260).
Tight end Sean Dykes earned Honorable-Mention All-American Athletic Conference honors after posting 47 catches for 581 yards and seven touchdowns.
Pope is in his second year as the team's defensive line coach. In 2020, Pope and his unit helped Memphis rank 13th in the nation in turnovers gained (20), 17th in the country in interceptions (12) and 19th in red zone defense (.744).
Following the season, defensive lineman O'Bryan Goodson was named First-Team All-American Athletic Conference after totaling 28 tackles, eight tackles for loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles and two quarterback hurries. Defensive lineman Morris Joseph earned honorable-mention all-league honors as well, posting 52 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, a team-best seven sacks and two quarterback hurries.
