Monique Woog wins ITA Huntsville Summer Circuit Championship

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Memphis Tigers women's tennis rising junior Monique Woog captured the ITA Huntsville Summer Circuit Championship in Huntsville, Ala., after winning four matches en route to the title.
Woog defeated Cate Cole in the Round of 16, 6-2, 6-3; Elizabeth Standifer in the quarterfinals, 6-3, 4-6, 1-0(10-2); Riley Collins in the semifinals, 6-1, 6-2, and Caroline Gibbens in the finals, 6-2, 7-6.
"We're very proud of Monique and her effort," head coach Hayden Perez said. "Mo is working very hard this summer, and we are happy she is getting some match play experience during the summer."
