MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis men's soccer will return to action playing at Temple on Tuesday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN+ in Philadelphia at the Temple Sports Complex.
The Tigers (0-1) lost to No. 8 SMU 2-0 in their season opener on Feb. 6 at the Park Avenue Campus. Temple (1-1) won at USF 3-2 on Feb. 6 before losing to UCF 1-0 on Feb. 13. Temple defeated Memphis twice last season.
The Tigers and Owls were both predicted to finish in a tie for fourth in the preseason American Athletic Conference poll.
Originally scheduled for last Saturday in Memphis, the game was postponed due to inclement weather and was switched to Philadelphia for Tuesday. The Owls will make a return trip to Memphis on March 27.
In the Tigers' loss to No. 8 SMU, the Mustangs scored a pair of set-piece goals for the win. Memphis was outshot 8-7 by SMU.
