MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis football team announced the team's 2021 awards at the team's annual banquet on Sunday night.
Glenn Jones Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year - Rush Lansdell & Tyrell Raby
Presented to the student-athlete who shows outstanding commitment and effort to making his teammates better as a member of the defensive scout team.
Glenn Jones Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year – Jeremiah Oatsvall
Presented to the student-athlete who shows outstanding commitment and effort to making his teammates better as a member of the offensive scout team.
Glenn Jones Special Teams Scout Team Player of the Year – Braxton Crouse
Presented to the student-athlete who shows outstanding commitment and effort to making his teammates better as a member of the special teams scout team.
Most Improved Offensive Player – Jacob Likes
Presented to the student-athlete who has shown the largest improvement on the offensive side of the ball from the beginning of the season to the end.
Most Improved Defensive Player – Wardalis Ducksworth

DeAngelo Williams Most Valuable Player – JJ Russell
Presented to the student-athlete who was the highest performing individual for the Memphis Tigers.
True Tiger Award – Preston Brady & John Tate IV
Presented to the student-athlete who embodies the Memphis Football values of service, sacrifice and respect in the community and on the field.

All attendees (exception, children under the age of 5), must provide proof of full vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours (two-days) prior to entry. The negative COVID-19 test result must be from an FDA approved, or FDA EUA approved, molecular or antigen test (home kits not allowed). All attendees must download the LumiSight UH app where they will upload their vaccination card and complete the daily health check-in.
