Sabrina Bianco Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Off of a 2-0 week that included wins over SMU and Temple, senior setter Sabrina Bianco was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll. It's Bianco's second weekly honor of the season, as she was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Week Sept. 6 after Memphis' three-win performance at the Central Arkansas Invitational.
This past week, Bianco recorded a double-double against both the Mustangs and Owls. In total, Bianco had 100 sets to lead the team and added 36 digs, second-most on the team. The senior added four aces and three blocks in an impressive two-match showing.
The fourth-year setter is approaching 1,000 assists on the season, with 944 over the team's first 26 matches. Bianco is second on the team in digs per set (2.69) and second in service aces (22). For her career, Bianco has more than 3,200 assists across 95 matches, with nearly 2,600 of those in 65 matches for the Tigers.
Memphis is back in action on Thursday with a trip to Orlando to take on UCF at 6 p.m., while the Tigers will wrap up the weekend with a 12 p.m. match Saturday at USF.
