- In the 31-13 loss to #17/17 Houston, the Tigers fell to 2-2 against opponents this season currently ranked or ranked at the time, with wins vs. Mississippi State and SMU.
- With an interception in the third quarter, Memphis has now tallied at least one interception in four consecutive games and has six interceptions over that stretch.
- The Tigers' defense had four tackles for a loss, the fifth straight game with at least four TFL's.

- Quarterback Seth Henigan went 21-for-45 for 208 yards and a touchdown pass, which gave him 2,986 passing yards and 22 passing touchdowns on the season.
- Henigan's 2,986 passing yards are the 10th most by a Memphis quarterback over a single season in program history, while his 22 passing touchdowns put him in a tie for ninth.
- With 103 receiving yards, wide receiver Calvin Austin III now has 1,129 receiving yards on the season, the fifth most receiving yards for a Memphis player in a single season in program history.
- Austin III's five receptions gave him 72 for the season, tied for the fifth most for a Memphis player in a single season in program history.
- It was Austin III's sixth 100+ yard receiving game of the season and 12th of his career, the second most in program history behind Anthony Miller's 17.
- Running back Asa Martin's third quarter touchdown catch marked the third straight game that he tallied either a rushing or receiving touchdown.
- The eight-yard completion from wide receiver Gabriel Rogers to Henigan was the first career completion for Rogers and reception for Henigan.
- Right guard Dylan Parham made his 11th start of the season and 50th in a Memphis Tigers uniform.
- Parham's 50 starts are the most of anyone on the Memphis roster.
- Defensive back JJ Russell recorded his first career interception, while defensive back Rodney Owens picked up his second interception of the season and fourth of his career.
- Kicker David Kemp (2-2 FG, 1-1 PAT) had a career-high seven points.
