HOUSTON, Texas – Capping off a brief two-match road trip, the Memphis Tigers (8-12, 1-7) weren't able to get anything going on the attack in a sweep at the hands of the Houston Cougars (16-4, 6-2). Memphis hit just .066 as a team while the Cougars hit .283 with seven fewer attack errors.

The set featured a match-low two ties and one lead change
Houston took a 3-2 lead on a kill by Rachel Tullos and led the rest of the way

Memphis led 7-6 before the Cougars struck for four straight and the Tigers never got closer than two
A 6-0 run by Houston built the lead to 10 (23-13)

Neither side led by more than two until a Memphis error gave the Cougars a 12-9 lead
