- With the 35-17 victory, Memphis defeated Navy for a third straight time.
- The Tigers have now won 20 of their past 21 non-Saturday regular season matchups, which includes a perfect 10-0 record at home.
- The Tigers had touchdown passes of 69 and 74 yards, their fifth and sixth plays of at least 69 yards for touchdowns this season.
- Memphis had multiple touchdown plays of 69 yards for the second time this season. The Tigers had three touchdown plays of 70+ yards at Arkansas State.
- The Tigers rushed for 200 yards, their third straight game with at least 150 rushing yards and third time this season with at least 200 yards on the ground.
- Memphis had three rushing touchdowns for the third time this season.
- The Tigers had four sacks, the most for the program in a single game since four against Temple, Oct. 24, 2020.
- The Memphis defense held Navy to just 43 passing yards, the fewest by a Memphis opponent since the Tigers held USF to just 44 passing yards in a 49-10 win, Nov. 23, 2019.
PLAYER NOTES
- Wide receiver Javon Ivory's 49-yard reception on the game's opening play was the longest catch of his career.
- With his touchdown catch on Memphis' opening drive, tight end Sean Dykes has tallied a touchdown reception in three straight games, the second time he has done so with the Tigers.
- Wide receiver Calvin Austin III's 69-yard rushing touchdown was his third touchdown of at least 69 yards this season. Austin III had a 75-yard receiving touchdown at Arkansas State and a 94-yard punt return touchdown vs. Mississippi State.
- Wide receiver Eddie Lewis' 74-yard touchdown catch was his longest catch with Memphis. Lewis had an 83-yard reception for Butler Community College March 26, 2021.
- Lewis finished with 92 receiving yards, the most he has had with the Tigers.
- With a three-yard touchdown rush, running back Brandon Thomas has rushed for at least one touchdown in consecutive games for the second time this season.
- With 65 yards on the ground and a touchdown, running back Marquavius Weaver set a new 2021 single-game high for rushing yards.
- Wide receiver Koby Drake recorded the longest catch of his career and set a new personal single-game high with his 51-yard reception in the third quarter.
- With 11 tackles, linebacker JJ Russell has recorded double-digit tackles in four of Memphis' last five games.
- Defensive back Quindell Johnson recorded his first career sack.
- With two tackles for a loss, defensive lineman John Tate IV matched his career single-game high. Tate also recorded his first full sack of the season.
- Linebacker Cole Mashburn (11) and defensive lineman Jaylon Allen (6) each set a personal best for tackles in a game.
- Punter Joe Doyle averaged 52.5 yards per punt, his third straight game averaging at least 50 yards per punt.
