MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Despite a victory in the opening set, the Memphis Tigers (8-10, 1-5) weren't able to capitalize in a four-set loss to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (9-6, 4-2). Memphis finished with three players with double-digit kills and three with double-digit digs in the loss.

Set 1

The lead changed five times during the set
Memphis hit a match-best .306 in the set victory
The Golden Hurricane opened with a 4-0 run, but the Tigers leveled the set 7-7
Memphis took the lead for good at 18-17 and closed the set on a 9-1 run

Set 2

The set featured a match-high 11 ties
Neither side led by more than two until a kill by Tabytha Toelke put Memphis in front 16-13
Trailing 21-18, Tulsa scored three straight and did so again trailing 24-23 to win the set

Set 3

Tulsa started on a 3-0 run and led until the Tigers tied the set 11-11
An extended 10-1 Golden Hurricane run turned a 13-13 tie into a 23-14 Tulsa lead

Set 4

Tulsa scored the opening two points and led wire-to-wire, as the set featured zero ties and zero lead changes
A 7-0 run for the Golden Hurricane put them in control 13-3
Memphis fought back and trimmed the deficit from as many as 11 to three (17-14) before Tulsa closed out the match

NOTABLES

With 17 digs and 36 assists, Sabrina Bianco recorded her third straight double-double and seventh of the season
Alexis Lewis and Tabytha Toelke each tallied 12 kills, the second and fifth double-digit kills performances of their season respectively
