Four named Scholastic All-Americans by the organization.
MURRAY, Ky. – Four members of the University of Memphis rifle team have earned 2019-20 Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholastic All-American accolades.
The following are the four Tigers honored as 2019-20 CRCA Scholastic All-Americans:
To be named a CRCA Scholastic All-American, a student-athlete must have a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or for the 2019 fall semester.
It is Dorey's third straight year to be named a CRCA Scholastic All-American, and Kimm and Meyeraan both made their second consecutive appearances on the honors list. Meyeraan also was named the UofM's Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) Scholar-Athlete at the league's championships in late February.
The CRCA Scholastic All-American honors wrap up another strong year in the classroom for the rifle program.
Memphis rifle posted a program-record 3.78 GPA for the 2020 spring semester. It was the sixth straight semester the Tigers posted a 3.0 GPA or higher. All six members of the squad earned Dean's List (3.5 GPA or higher) distinction for the 2020 spring term. The team had a 3.45 GPA for the 2019 fall semester.
