MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- University of Memphis junior center Dylan Parham was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List Tuesday. The Outland Trophy committee recognized 85 interior linemen on the 2020 list.
The 2020 trophy -- being awarded for the 75th time this season -- will be presented in Omaha, Nebraska at the Outland Trophy Awards Dinner on January 13.
Parham, a native of Carrollton, Georgia has started all of the team's 28 games during the past two seasons. He helped the 2019 Memphis offense amass 6,791 total yards, including 2,614 rushing yards. Memphis won a third straight American Athletic Conference West Division title and its first outright AAC championship with a 12-2 mark. The program made its first New Year's Six bowl appearance with an invite to the Goodyear Cotton Bowl.
An all-conference honorable mention honoree in 2019, Parham will move to center for 2020, replacing New England Patriots' draftee Dustin Woodard. Like Woodard, Parham will be making the move to center from a guard position.
Four players from the American Athletic Conference are on the 2020 watch list. Corey Dublin (G, Tulane), Cole Schneider (G, UCF) and Jaylon Thomas (OT, SMU) join Parham. The committee will add or remove candidates from the list as the season progresses.
Memphis is slated to begin its 2020 season on September 5 against Arkansas State at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
