Tigers set for midweek series at Middle Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After taking its third straight series, Memphis baseball will hit the road for its first midweek series of the season. The Tigers visit Middle Tennessee for a two-game set, with first pitch Tuesday slated for 3 p.m.

The Tigers visit Murfreesboro for the second time since 2016. Although the Blue Raiders lead the all-time series 50-49, Memphis has won four of the last six matchups, including two of a three-game series last year in Memphis.
In their last outing, Memphis claimed two of three at UNCW. The Tigers earned their first shutout of the season in a 4-0 win on Friday before claiming a 6-1 victory Saturday. Despite a strong rally in the ninth inning on Sunday, the Seahawks took a 4-3 decision to avoid the sweep.
Middle Tennessee returns home after dropping two of three at Coastal Carolina last weekend. Despite falling in four of their last six games, the Blue Raiders boast a 4-1 mark at home.
Following the Tigers' visit to Murfreesboro, Memphis will travel to Indiana for its next weekend series. Friday's first pitch in Bloomington, Ind., is set for 3 p.m. (CT).
