UofM statement on spring sports

Earlier today, the American Athletic Conference announced both the cancellation of the men's basketball tournament and the suspension of all spring competitions until further notice. University of Memphis Athletics fully supports these decisions in the best interest of public health. With that in mind, we have decided to cancel all public spring football events, including the Friday Night Stripes spring game. We will continue to communicate closely with conference officials and our University administration, providing updates as things progress. The health and well-being of our student-athletes, staff, their families and the entire Memphis community will remain our top priority.
